Today is a big day at the Moatblog (okay a HUGE day). When I started the Moatblog, I never intended to opine on Youth Entitlement, or do anything more than provide a place for moms tired in the trenches to find a spot of respite … and encouragement … and commiseration. Who knew it would become a book?! But the story has become a book whose birthday is TODAY!!

What’s Cleaning House about? It’s about hope. It’s about walking the road together. Well, most importantly it’s about walking the road. Putting one equipping foot in front of the other and sharing the highs, the lows and all the hilarity in between. Because with our brood of misfits there’s a lot of each.

So… check it out. If you feel compelled, share the link on FB, email or Pin-it. And win something along the way. Just click below: (I think it’s super easy – even for us techno-challenged)

Now, as promised yesterday, here’s a very Pinteresting (got it from a Pin) Kid Can-Do recipe deemed delicious by all… “Delicioso!” by one who still watches Dora and has been known to “booooo!!!” the chef.

tacos

Ingredients:

4 chicken breasts

1 package taco seasoning (we love Taco Bell if you can find it)

1 jar salsa (Joe T Garcia’s is our fav… or any Goldwater)

Combine ingredients in a crock pot and cook on low for 6 hours or high for 4. Serve on warm flour tortillas with all the fixings. Or on a bed of lettuce for a wonderful chicken taco salad.

Our 13-year-old proudly served this to her family last week. Hey, it doesn’t have to be hard to be good.

Thanks for walking the road with me!

-Kay

… another exciting development. We’re leaving for New York tomorrow to be on Fox & Friends Thursday morning. I’m taking the girls. We can’t wait for you to walk this road with us too.
